How it all started...

This has been a strange path the Lord has taken us down… Me with a lifelong fascination with Tibetans, a long-suffering wife with a heart broken for these wonderful people, and two young children trying to make sense of a household where a bizarre mixture of Tibetan, German and English are the norm! We have attended the Calvary Chapel on Camano Island for 14 years now; watching the Lord save, change and grow the people there. We were learning to reach our Jerusalem and Judea, but were also pretty sure there was an “Ends-of-the-earth” out there for us! One day the Lord asked me to visit the Himalayas… and I came back with a burden. I’d never had a burden before; I’d heard other people talk about their burdens, but didn’t really understand the concept, and now I knew! Oh how much I wanted to have them meet my Jesus!! My wife had always shared the Gospel with whoever would listen, but she hadn’t heard what God had spoken to me. However, several years later in a seedy Zurich hotel room, God would give her the same burden! We thought this meant ‘Tibet”, but God shut the doors on every attempt to go there: Visas, logistics, Chinese officials. Yet in so many ways He kept saying “Tibetans”…
”Right Lord,” I’d say, “in Tibet!”
”No Mike… TIBETANS.”
“Right Lord, in Tibet!”
It finally landed… the Tibetan refugees! It took a while longer to figure out He was talking about Europe. We began to visit the monasteries, restaurants and shops that Tibetans gathered around, and we heard God say “Yes” again and again. He is so faithful!
We began to pray- to ask Him where our home in Europe would be would be… and again He answered. Pastor Christian Kleinloh at Calvary Chapel Heidelberg invited us to serve there!! We are so excited about our new church family! The Lord will teach us there how to care for His precious children… German as well as Tibetan! Tibetan Buddhism and secular humanism are deeply entrenched strongholds that the enemy won’t relinquish easily, Please pray for them and us. Check our up-dates, E-mail us, send us pictures, and let us know how to pray for you, we are YOUR hands held out to them… …because Jesus loves Tibetans

Thank you for your prayers!
